What is a Registered Herbalist?

Herbalism, known as phytotherapy uses medicinal plants and plant extracts to treat and prevent common ailments.  An herbalist uses seeds, leaves, roots, flowers, berries and bark of plants for healing purposes.  Natural protocols, which often incorporate herbal formulas, are combined with nutritional recommendations to promote wellness.  Traditional Western Herbalism draws from the knowledge passed down from Europe and Native American Herbalism, which uses herbs or botanicals, along with counselling, with the aim to bring balance to mind, body and spirit.

A Registered Holistic Nutritionist is a professional trained in Natural Nutrition and complimentary therapies, whose principal function is to educate individuals and groups about the benefits and health impact of optimal nutrition.
